It contains a two step push button switch which gives you a option to regulate brightness when you don't need much light, dimmed light will increase back up time of battery.It has a back up time of upto 2-3 hours in strong light and upto 8-10 hours in dimmed light. It has a 12V solar panel so you can save energy and money through charging directly from sunlight or you can charge it from 220-240V, 50-60Hz AC.
